Mission Statement
As Our Lady instructed, we are called to follow His word (John 2:5) - learning with love, joy and hope.
At Our Lady's we place the values of the Gospels in all that we do. To encapsulate this, we reflect regularly on three value-driven words: love, joy and hope.
We endeavour to ensure every child receives a holistic education that is rooted in love with Christ at the centre. Each child at Our Lady's learns of love's presence within friendship, forgiveness, empathy and justice. Through relational practices pupils are supported to develop positive relationships with peers and staff; we also work hard to spread and promote this approach amongst parents and the wider parish community.
Learning with joy is integral to our school - Christ is at the heart of this and all relationships within the school: those amongst pupils, staff, parents and carers. We aim to provide all children with opportunities to experience these nurturing relationships as positive models they can reflect upon and employ throughout their lives. The positive relationships and nurturing experiences we provide allow for lifelong, joyful memories. We recognise the uniqueness of each child and use every interaction as an opportunity for children to celebrate with joy who they are and where they are from.
We have high and ambitious expectations for the children of Our Lady's, right from their first day with the school. These expectations plant seeds for success without creating a ceiling of potential. With children attending Our Lady's from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, we continually strive to create and promote an environment of inclusion. The curriculum delivery and pastoral support provided at Our Lady's allows pupils to see hope and purpose in working hard, fostering a desire to aim high and succeed in all that they do.
